We are a Responsible AI Consultancy.
We help companies to “Simplify Responsible AI”. This means helping our clients work out what “Responsible AI” means to them and then providing practical, targeted support to build, roll out and embed good practice AI governance, to ensure that “Responsible AI” becomes business as usual.

Laura Holden
Bonsai Founder & CEO
Bonsai was founded by Laura Holden, an experienced technology transactions lawyer with over 14 years' experience in Big Law, specialising in tech transformations and emerging tech.
A month following the global launch of ChatGPT, Laura started a Global Interim GC role at Unilever, supporting the Global Marketing, Media and Digital Commerce business. In response to an explosion in demand for Generative AI tools across Unilever, Laura co-led the development of Unilever's Responsible AI governance programme, rolling out their global Responsible AI policies, processes, guidance, contracts and training.
Laura launched Bonsai to support more clients on their build and rollout of effective AI triage processes, policies, guidance, contractual clauses, third party risk management and training.
Clients include Unilever, Diageo, Plural.AI and Scalewise.
Laura advises the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) AI Steering Group on all matters impacting AI in marketing and is a founding member of the Women in AI Governance Group (WiAIG). She also regularly speaks at industry events, including for the WFA, the Lawyer and the Insurance Institute of London.
